The Other Foot Soccer School Inverness

Coaching Philosophy at The Other Foot Soccer School

The primary focus of all OTHER FOOT sessions is to improve the skill level of the participants “other” foot. (Sounds simple and it IS!).

The skills programme is specifically designed so that each player’s “other” foot, will have as much contact with the ball as possible, as they work through a series of games and activities in a fun, yet challenging environment.

All the activities have been specially devised to allow participants, through practise, the opportunity to become measurably more confident and comfortable when using their “other” foot.

The ultimate goal, of this carefully designed programme, is for participants to display mastery of the ball instinctively using their “other” foot thus enabling them to maximise their potential and become more versatile and complete players.

Other Foot Coach Emma Cordiner

"The primary school squads at Inverness Caley Thistle have shown significant improvement through participating in Other Foot sessions.  The attractive variety of activities involved in the sessions are fun based and are of great benefit in improving the young players confidence in using their weaker foot."

Charlie Christie

Former Manager of S.P.L club Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

"The Other Foot is a fantastic coaching programme that can significantly improve a players’ weaker foot. Not only does it develop the players’ ability to use The Other Foot, it is also a lot of fun.

Ian McArthur has developed the coaching sessions to be really enjoyable and uses innovative drills and games which keep the participants motivated and interested. This is vital, as at first it can seem a bit daunting and frustrating for a young player to practise and play solely with their weaker foot.

In my opinion, all coaches and young players who are serious about improving their game should give The Other Foot a go. I promise, it will amaze you!!"
